About the Co-Founders

Eric and Jennifer Garcia are the co-founders of the Association of Marriage and Family Ministries (AMFM). AMFM exists to lead a marriage and family ministry movement in the local church. They do this by training, equipping, resourcing and encouraging all those called to this vital area of ministry.

The vision for AMFM was birthed based on needs Eric and Jennifer found in their own church and on their belief that the church must be healed relationally before it can effectively impact the culture.

Together they served for seven years as lay leaders on the marriage ministry team at Scottsdale Bible Church, in Scottsdale, Arizona. They launched the Couple-to-Couple Mentoring Ministry and led the team for those seven years. Today they continue to train other churches how to organize and launch a successful couple’s mentoring ministry.

Eric and Jennifer have recently accepted the challenge to start a marriage ministry at North Bible Church, a church plant of Scottsdale Bible Church. This opportunity is a great one to leverage all they have learned through AMFM and the years of serving on the marriage ministry team at their church.

A new venture for the Garcias has been hosting the new online marriage enrichment community at www.40daylovedare.com through AMFM. This site is a support community for those going through The Love Dare book after seeing the movie Fireproof. It has grown very quickly to be one of the largest online marriage enrichment communities.

The Garcias have been married seventeen years and have four children, Hudson, Erika, Elliot and Wesley. Life is very full in the Garcia home with four children heading different directions at once, but movie nights, sports activities and being involved at church keep them connected.

Eric and Jennifer are committed to serving the local church. They strongly believe that healthy marriages produce strong families, which create vibrant churches that impact the communities they serve and the world that we all live in.
