 Most
parents know instinctively (especially if they’ve read Deuteronomy) that
they need to be doing more than taking kids to church and praying at meal and
bed times. The reality is that they don’t know what to do. Their parents
didn’t model home-based spiritual training—parents today don’t
know how to get started.
Along comes Family Time! Just take 20 minutes once a week and lead an intentional
spiritual lesson with your children. Each of the six new Family Time Activity
Books includes 20 or more fun and effective lessons designed to teach children
scriptural truths. These once a week intentional lessons will set up informal
spiritual training throughout the week!
Kirk Weaver has been doing weekly Family Time activity with his family since
December 1994. That’s more than 12 years and 600 weekly spiritual lessons
in the home that compliment the training they receive at church. In 1994 his
daughter Madison had just turned two and his son McKinley was on the way. Today,
14 year old Madi, 11 year old Mac, Kirk and his wife Kelly still enjoy doing
the weekly lessons. In 1999, Kirk and Kelly founded Family Time Training and
in the past 7 years Kirk has provided 700 trainings to more than 60,000 family
members. Thousands of families now use the fun and effective activities to teach
their children Bible stories and scriptural truths.
