When Len retired as a Colonel from the United
States Air Force in 2004, I could not imagine how it would be to spend 24/7 with
him, even though I considered him my best friend! I actually pushed him to get
another job right away to put off this inevitable scenario.
It soon became obvious that there would be no other job;
instead, we were being drawn back to our home state of Vermont to spend time
with the family and help care for our aging mothers.
The smallest team is a “team of two”. What the Couples
in Leadership Ministry Team is all about is making sure that teams are strong,
healthy, focused and authentic at their core. We work with the leaders to get
real about what is not working for them and focus them on their strengths. We
show them how to align the right people in the right spots with the right attitudes.
The target of the Leadership Development Group is ministry leaders
who desire skill training to develop teams, pastors who are looking
for tools to improve leadership abilities for themselves and for
those in their circle of influence, or leadership couples who desire
to do a ministry together.
We will share inspiring stories of real leaders who are developing
their leadership skills, building effective teams, and living authentic
lives. Each month we will offer practical resources to build a “Leader’s
